USCIS I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification
- The employee completes section 1 of the I-9 form
- The employee chooses either one identification document from list A or a combination of one from list B and one from list C to submit (for a comprehensive list of acceptable documents, please refer to the Form I-9 Acceptable Documents)
- The notary public / authorized representative, acting as the employer's agent, then completes section 2 by reviewing the employee's original unexpired identification documents

Vehicle / Car Title
- Seller physically signs the title in the presence of a notary public
- Seller completes the "Assignment of Ownership" section including the buyer's name and address
- Seller should retain license plate
- The buyer's section is completed at the BMV
Ohio vehicle title transfers require the seller to sign the "Assignment of Ownership" section of the title in the presence of a notary public. While the buyer's presence is not required, the seller must provide the buyer's name and address "open" titles are not valid in Ohio. The buyer will then complete the "Application for Certificate of Title" section at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

Copy Certification By Document Custodian
In Ohio, a Notary Public is not authorized to directly certify copies. Instead, the document custodian certifies the copy by declaring, "I certify this as a true copy of the original document," signing the statement, and informing the Notary Public of the required notarization type, either a jurat or acknowledgment.
